Suffolk Countryside Engagement Shoot

I met up with Daniela, Tim and their cheeky black labrador, Winston, in the gorgeous countryside around Gosbeck in Suffolk.

He is rather handsome, you have to admit.

Towards the end of the session, Winston decided there had bee rather too much of ‘them’ and not enough of ‘him’ so up he popped.

I will be sharing Daniela and Tim’s wedding soon, which was so good, it made me wish I was Italian.

High Voltage 2011 – Jethro Tull

Headlining the Classic Rock Prog Rock stage were Jethro Tull. Unusually, the photographers were told we could shoot the first two songs and the final one. Not everyone came back though, which was good as firstly we were corralled into an area the size of a paddling pool and secondly because Jethro Tull were joined onstage by Joe Bonamassa for the final song. It looked as though they were all having a fine time.

High Voltage 2011 – Black Country Communion

Back over to the main stage where I was excited to see Black Country Communion, made up of former Deep Purple member, Glenn Hughes, one of the world’s best guitarists, Joe Bonamassa, keyboardist Derek Sherinian and Jason Bonham on drums. Their set was fantastic and you can’t help but love photographing anyone who throws as many shapes as Glenn Hughes!

High Voltage Festival 2011 – Saint Jude

I was fortunate enough to be photographing the bands at the High Voltage Festival in Victoria Park, London on Sunday. There was a fabulous atmosphere in the warm summer sunshine and the bands were fantastic. I will do a separate post with a few images for each of the bands.

Truly Vintage Wedding Fair – Glemham Hall, Suffolk

Last weekend I was delighted to be exhibiting at the first Truly Vintage Wedding Fair at the stunning wedding venue, Glemham Hall in Suffolk. Donna Stockley had worked incredibly hard in planning this unique event, gathering together many inspiring wedding suppliers and reaching out to brides to be both locally and nationally.

The weather was beautiful which showed the Hall in all its glory and brought a very pleasing number of visitors. It was great to meet so many couples at various stages of their wedding planning and to show them my albums and portfolio. I hope to be seeing them again in the future.

I didn’t get much chance to take photos as it was so busy I was practically tethered to my stand (mustn’t keep calling it a stall!) but here are a few which I managed to grab.

Here is a selection of images from the Black Stone Cherry gig at the Waterfront in Norwich, ahead of their appearance at the Download Festival. It was great to see them in such a small venue. Quality rock ‘n’ roll from the deep south of the US. As well as songs from the new album and old favourites, they performed an excellent cover of Rolling in the Deep by Adele.
