John Frusciante leaves the Red Hot Chili Peppers
He announced on his blog yesterday that he had, in fact, left the band a year ago but that there was no animosity. He is a rare soul, an incredibly gifted musician, artistic and creative and somehow other worldly. His solo work is unusual and beautiful and I’m looking forward to hearing more of that.
I’m not sure what direction the Chili Peppers will now take although they are saying they will continue with a new guitarist.
This does give me an opportunity to post one of my favourite ever shots

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
I was already excited about Hannah and Adam’s wedding at Hintlesham Hall on Saturday, but now the forecast for Suffolk predicts snow! I would like it best, if it were to snow a little on Friday night, not enough to disrupt travel, but enough to cover the grounds, then Saturday is dry and clear, with perhaps another little flurry in the early evening.
Demanding, moi?
OK a little update. I popped over to Hintlesham Hall yesterday to have a look around and meet the staff, and it was fabulous! We had had a sprinkling of snow earlier in the afternoon so the lawns were lightly dusted. The sky was just darkening and the Christmas trees were lit up, so I took a couple of shots before I left
New baby!
Congratulations to Paul and Kathryn, for whom I did a lovely maternity photo shoot last week.
They let me know yesterday that they are now proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, so we were just in the nick of time!
I’m looking forward to seeing them again for their newborn photography session

Suffolk Bride and Groom Magazine
…are coming to interview me today, which should be fun. I think we will mostly be talking about Trash the Dress photography, which is one of the services I offer, and which I love doing.
I’ll let you know how it goes and when it will be in print.
I also have lots more to blog as I’ll been really busy over the last few weeks.
